… Daily Gestures silently unravel in Parallel Journeys that lead past and present in the temporal suspension of narratives precarious balance between here and elsewhere. Invented and essential places, born from a meditative attitude of poignant poetic value, are inhabited by a few objects and human figures from the distant past of art history, as well as photographs, installations and performances by the artist himself. They are metaphorical constructs that address disturbing questions about human nature, from death to vanity, from memory to time... staging signs-signals embodied by objects and bodies.

The drape, the sheet, the stools, the small table, the paintings and photographs, the bed, the stones, the broken mirror, almost always white or transparent, suspended in silent solitude, rigorously chosen and selected, as one does with the words of poetry: they trace the content of the space and the scene represented, to suggest new mental environments through which to inhabit daily existence…

… Gesti quotidiani si dipanano silenziosamente in Viaggi paralleli che traghettano passato e presente nella sospensione temporale di narrazioni in bilico tra il qui e l’altrove. Luoghi inventati ed essenziali, sorti da un atteggiamento meditativo di struggente valenza poetica, sono abitati da pochi oggetti e figure umane, provenienti dal lontano passato della storia dell’arte, così come da fotografie, installazioni e performance dell’artista stesso. Sono costrutti metaforici che affrontano inquietanti quesiti sulla natura umana, dalla morte alla vanità, dalla memoria al tempo… mettendo in scena segni-segnali incarnati dagli oggetti e dai corpi.

Il drappo, il lenzuolo, gli sgabelli, il tavolino, i dipinti e le fotografie, il letto, i sassi, lo specchio infranto, quasi sempre bianchi o trasparenti, sospesi in una solitudine silente, scelti e selezionati rigorosamente, come si fa con i vocaboli della poesia: sono loro a tracciare il contenuto dello spazio e della scena rappresentata, a suggerirci nuovi ambienti mentali attraverso i quali abitare l’esistenza quotidiana…
